Studio 54 Brings Back a bit of Decadence to Dallas
Montana Reed, other female impersonators drag out disco for annual Legacy fundraiser at Illusions
DALLAS (Thursday, April 16, 2009) - Studio 54, the legendary disco in New York City in the 1970s and 80s, is once again spinning in Dallas at Illusions nightclub where female impersonator Montana Reed and many more performers will shake their groove thang, all benefitting Legacy Counseling Center and Founders Cottage on Saturday, April 25, at 10:00 p.m.
Famous for its flamboyant guests, drugs and hedonism, Studio 54 remains the quintessential icon of the disco era. “Studio 54 is an attitude, more than anything else, that we’re bringing back, if only for one night,” said event host entertainer Montana Reed, a/k/a Jay Zoda. “We’re certainly not promoting drugs or sex…well, maybe just a little sex…, but we’re sure going to get out there and celebrate ‘the party the world will never forget.” Montana is a member of the United Court of the Lone Star Empire, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to raising monies for local charities and community organizations in Dallas.
