Birthday Party Recap
For those of you who couldn’t make Legacy’s 20th Birthday Party, let us fill you in on the fun! Monica’s was packed with all of our friends and supporters. Once everyone was seated, Vince Martinez set the stage as only he can. Dinner was fabulous, but what else would you expect from Monica’s? The silent auction area, filled with art, gift certificates and other wonderful items, stayed busy with generous bidders throughout the evening. Melissa Grove, our Executive Director, took the spotlight from Vince just long enough to present Legacy’s birthday cake and thank everyone who makes the center’s work possible. The real excitement began with the live auction, run by the irrepressible Anna De Haro, Public Affairs Director at Clear Channel Radio. Vince added his powers of persuasion, as well. This team brought in $21,650! The big winner of the evening was Mr. Todd May, who took home the Joanne Bondy Celebrity Chef Package, The Legacy Dinner and quite a few silent auction items. Everyone’s hard work and support resulted in a grand total of… drum roll please… $35,000 dollars! That’s $5000 over our intended goal! Legacy could not have had a better 20th birthday. We cannot thank all of you enough for being a part of this event and everything Legacy stands for. We are so excited to see what happens when we turn 21!
